MT Sports Management have confirmed that Pitso Mosimane has signed a short term contract with Saudi Pro League side Abha FC on Thursday afternoon.
Jingles has been without a club since parting ways with UAE Pro League outfit Al Wahda FC in November 2023.
The three times CAF Champions League winning coach jetted off to the Middle East earlier in the week with his technical team in assistant coach Maahier Davids, fitness coach Kabelo Rangoaga, analysts Kyle Solomons and Musi Matlaba and goalkeeper coach Hamad Alyami complete their four month stay with The Leaders of the South.
The deal puts to bed the ongoing speculations surrounding Mosimane’s future as the most decorated and successful South African coach.
Mosimane is heavily linked to many clubs including the likes of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Egyptian outfit Zamalek and Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs.
Abha FC currently lie 17th on the Saudi Pro League table and Mosimane’s mandate is to ensure that the side survives relegation in order to continue to play it’s trade in the top-tier division in the next season.
It is understood that Abha offered Mosimane an 18-months deal, however, Mosimane’s management opted for a short-term deal.
Mosimane will have a second bite of the apple as he returns to Saudi Arabia for a second stint following his successful first stint with Al Ahli Jeddah where he woke the ‘sleeping giants’ by promoting them to the Pro League and lifted the Saudi First Division Yelo League title last season.
