Laura Wolvaardt promotes Proteas Women to a historic T20 victory over Australia

South Africa created history when they beat Australia for the first time in any format of the game with a six-wicket victory in the second T20I at the Manuka Oval in Canberra yesterday. Chasing 143, the Proteas finished on 144 for four with six balls remaining.
The Proteas Women lost the first T20I against Australia on Saturday and this triumph marked their first-ever win against Australia across all formats, levelling the three-match series and multi-format tour
Laura Wolvaardt played a captain’s innings to finish on 58 not out and was the player of the match.
Wolvaardt dispatched six fours en route to 58* off 53 deliveries alongside Tazmin Brits’ 28-ball 41 (8 fours) as South Africa successfully chased down Australia’s 142/6, she basically lauded her team for the tremendous result.
The series decider is scheduled for Tuesday at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart at 10:35 SAST. The three-match ODI series starts on Saturday 3 February at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide
