betWay premiership outfit Amazulu FC have reinforced their squad as they announced two big signings of Bongani Zungu and Sandile Mthethwa to the club. “Ben 10”, as he is affectionately known, has been a free agent since parting ways with Mamelodi Sundowns at the end of last season after his contract expired while Mthethwa parted ways with Orlando Pirates last week.

Zungu, only made 23 appearances in his second spell with The Brazilians and only registered a single goal to his name and also scooped the league title as well as the African football league title with Sundowns. It was thought that the Duduza born player was due to pen a contract with Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca where he was set to reunite with his former mentor from Chloorkop, Rulani Mokwena, but the two parties failed to agree on terms.

Meanwhile, Mthethwa, who hails from Richards Bay, parted ways with Orlando Pirates last week and has since went on to win three MTN8 titles and two Nedbank Cup titles with the black and white. He last played a competitive match for The Sea Robbers back in April when Pirates defeated MaMkhize’s Royal AM 4-0.

The pair join Usuthu on permanent contracts as free agents and club president Sandile Zungu has welcomed them with open arms. The Durban based side currently lie 13th position on the betWay premiership table and it remains to be seen when the pair will make their debuts for the green and white in order to help the club to shy away from the relegation zone.
