Kaizer Chiefs will lock horns with Sekhukhune United in their betWay premiership match at the Moses Mabhida stadium on Sunday. Amakhosi head into the encounter at the back of a 1-0 defeat to Lamontville Golden Arrows while Babina Noko are high in spirits following their 3-0 victory against SuperSport United.

The Glamour boys have been blowing hot and cold throughout the season, with inconsistency in their performance not yielding their desired results where supporters have been questioning the quality of players in the team and also raising concerns about coach Nasreddine Nabi’s tactical ability in leading the team to it’s glory days.

The Soweto giants currently find themselves on 6th spot on the betWay premiership table after thirteen matches played, twelve points adrift of log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, who have two games in hand due to their CAF Champions League duties.

With coach Nabi suspended for the next two matches following his red card, first assistant coach Khalil Ben Youssef assumed media duties. The Tunisian coach will miss the upcoming matches against Sekhukhune United on Sunday and Free Agents in the Nedbank Cup Last 32 at the FNB stadium next weekend.

With their league title aspirations fading away and having already missed out on winning the Carling Knockout Cup and MTN8, the Nedbank Cup presents Chiefs with their only chance remaining of ending their nine-year trophy drought.
