Mamelodi Sundowns has confirmed the signing of Bafana Bafana international defender Keanu Cupido who has joined The Brazilians on a long-term deal. Cupido, who has been one of the standout performers for Cape Town City, is expected to provide Sundowns with much-needed depth in their defence as they push for further success this season.

Known for his commanding presence in the heart of defence, Cupido has impressed with his excellent tackling, and smart at reading the game. Cupido’s arrival will tighten Sundowns’ backline, offering additional depth as they continue their domestic and continental campaigns.

With Rushine De Reuck’s departure to Israel, Cupido will play a key role in maintaining the club’s defensive strength. For Cupido, this move presents a great opportunity to develop further alongside experienced stars, all the while competing for major trophies at one of South Africa’s top clubs.

The club has also welcomed midfielder Jayden Adams from Stellenbosch FC. The Bafana Bafana star has already made his debut in the Nedbank Cup clash against Sibanyoni Golden Stars.
