2025 FIFA CLUB WORLD TROPHY UNVEILED IN CHLOORKOP

Mamelodi Sundowns has unveiled the fifa World Cup trophy Thursday, 6 February 2025 at Chloorkop. FIFA officials visited Sundowns headquarters in Chloorkop, Johannesburg.

Mamelodi Sundowns chairman Tlhopi Motsepe was given the honour of unveiling the prestigious trophy to members of the media present. FIFA officials were also present for the big reveal.

This year’s edition of the FIFA Club World Cup will be held in the US between the 14th of June and 13th of July 2025.

Sundowns are the only Southern African team in the expanded global club tournament. Other African clubs joining The Brazilians in this year’s edition of the FIFA Club World Cup are Al Ahly SC, Wydad Athletic Club and Espérance de Tunis.

This will mark Sundowns’ second participation in the FIFA Club World Cup after having done so in 2016. This was after being crowned 2016 CAF Champions League champions at the expense of Zamalek.
