Who inspired you to join radio? I’ve always enjoyed the likes of Gcina Mhlophe and her storytelling. Additionally, when a friend in high school told people that she only wanted to hear stories from me. I knew I had a talent /gift that I needed to invest in.

What’s the one quote you live by? I decided to put my trumpet to good use – Pretty Ngwenya ( I wrote this quote and it simply affirms that a speak a lot but the most important thing is to speak sense that empowers and feeds the mind, body and soul)
What’s been your best and worst moment on air? Best moments;This was when I had the opportunity to interview Moshe Ndiki. His truth and free spirit made the interview a short lived success that one can only hope for again in the industry.
Worst Moments; I don’t really have, it’s always those silly one word interviews that are a learning curve that you need to experience in order to grow and improve.
What is the funniest thing you’ve ever heard? My sister saying I’m the best sister she has ever had, meanwhile I gently reminded her I’m the only sister she has.
Game night or movie night? Game night (Competitive spirit)
What’s the most played song on your music playlist? I’m an old soul. It’s between Gospel or Afro soul. Ringo Madlingo takes the crown , so as Dela.
What’s the last lie you told? I lied about my bank balance to restore dignity.
If you had to pick an age that you would be for the rest of your life, which age would it be and why? 30 is definitely the year. Older, wiser and still giving the 2000’s a run for my good genes and great personality.
Name your favourite equipment/tool you use on air? Pen and paper. Always write it down. The mind can always wonder and one gets caught up in a link or moment that they forget the planning.
Who is your go to person for anything and everything in life?My mother, we have finally opened up the window of women to women. No longer a child, now we speak like old friends sipping on fine wine.
