JMPD DETAINS A FOREIGN NATIONAL DEALING DRUGS WITH A CIGARETTE FRONT.

A 39-year-old Nigerian male was arrested on Monday, January 22 by the Johannesburg Metro police for selling & dealing drugs. The man who was arrested in Berea was seen dealing on an AI surveillance camera on Sunday the 21st of January at O’Reilly & Fife Ave, Berea.
According to JMPD spokesperson, Xolani Fihla, after receiving information about a male selling drugs, the JMPD proceeded by foot to the given location and found the suspects matching the given description.
“The officers tactically approached and searched the male who alluded that he only sells cigarettes. When searched, 12 tablets of a drug known as mandrax were found in his possession, hidden inside a match box.” Fihla added.
The suspect was arrested and detained at the Hillbrow SAPS and is expected to appear in court during the course of the week.
JMPD says lawlessness will not be tolerated.
