In the vibrant world of freestyle football, where skills, creativity, and passion collide, Jabu Mdaka, popularly known as Mjepa, has emerged as a shining star in South Africa.
Originally hailing from Limpopo but raised in Soweto, Mdaka’s journey into freestyle football began at a young age, when he used to play in the field in Mokopane. He said he was inspired by Ronaldinho, who is a Brazilian former professional footballer.
He started free styling in 2010, and he became a champion runner-up in 2018 and 2019. With unwavering determination, Mdaka’s hard work paid off in 2021, where he won the championship. Since his big win, his career as a freestyle footballer has been amazing as he started traveling to different countries such as Germany, Brazil, and Mozambique, just to name a few.
In an era of social media, Mjepa showcase his skills and talent through TikTok posts. “When I post every day, Companies approaches me and feature me in their campaigns,” says Mjepa.
