Kaizer Chiefs have announced the signing of three players in Glody Lilepo, Thabo Cele and Tashreeq Morris to bolster their squad. Amakhosi have added these three players as a way to improve in the performances as they have been experiencing some inconsistencies since the start of the season.

Glody Makabi Lilepo, a Congolese International, a long time admirer of coach Nasreddine Nabi, joins the Soweto giants from French club Valenciennes having made forty six appearances, scoring seven goals and assisting five occasions. He brings skill and experience to the Amakhosi attacking department. He has penned down a two and a half year deal with Chiefs.

Tashreeq Morris joins the glamour boys from Supersport United, where he didn’t play much as he only made ten appearances for Matsatsantsa a Pitori and only registering two goals to his name. His acquisition comes in to strengthen Amakhosi’s attack which also sees Christian Saile go the other way in a swap deal. He has also penned down a two and a half year with Chiefs.

Thabo Cele has only European experience at senior club football, and has never played professional football in South Africa. He’s played his football in Portugal, Poland, and most recently in Russia. His acquisition comes as a need to be closer to his family due to a health issue affecting a family member, ensuring he would not play for another overseas team during this transition.

It remains to be seen when the players will make the respective debut for the team with both Cele and Morris available immediately while Lilepo still has to await for his work permit and thereafter, be available for selection.
