When podcast meets radio, VOW 88.1 is excited to be hosting the podcast of legendary broadcaster Nongcebo Vukile McKenzie. The KwaMadlala born radio presenter boasts more than seventeen years behind the mic and is set to spread her wings in the world of podcasting by joining VOW’s new podcast platform.

Nongcebo is a highly sought-after Master of Ceremonies and voice-over artist, boasting an impressive portfolio of voice-over work for numerous television shows and corporate productions. She spent a great amount of time keeping listeners informed and entertained on one of South Africa’s biggest and most loved radio station, Ukhozi fm. After building a profound connection with millions of devoted radio listeners across South Africa, she gracefully stepped down.

The closing chapter of her radio career marked the beginning of “Nongcebo McKenzie: The Podcast.”

A platform where authors, acclaimed speakers, renowned academics and respected leaders join her for enlightening and insightful conversations.

The acclaimed broadcaster is set to expand her audience where her podcast will be going live on VOW 88.1’s newly launched podcast hour, as part of the exciting line-up announcement for the 2025/26 award-winning campus radio station.

The stations head of news and content Siyabonga Motha, expressed that the station is excited and grateful on this one of a kind venture, stating that this is a great opportunity for her long standing listeners to get to listen to her on this platform, also enabling young listeners of the station to learn from this powerhouse.
