NKOTA, OFF TO SAUDI

Orlando Pirates have confirmed that they’ve reached an agreement with Saudi Pro League outfit Al Ettifaq Club for the transfer of rising star sensation Mohau Nkota for the upcoming 2025/26 Saudi Pro League season.

“Orlando Pirates Football Club can confirm that an agreement has been reached for the permanent transfer of Mohau Nkota to Ettifaq Club in the Saudi Pro League,” the club confirmed via a statement on Sunday.

The Kimberley born-player got promoted to the Pirates senior team at the start of the 2024/25 betWay premiership season following  his tremendous performance for the club’s DStv Diski Challenge side.

The Buccaneers are currently in Marbella, Spain for their international pre-season tour under the leadership of newly appointed head coach, Abdeslam Ouaddou , who took over from then coach Jose Riveiro who has since left to join African giants Al Ahly SC. Ouaddou is overseeing pre-season tour, preparing for the upcoming 2025/26 betWay premiership.

Nkota, departs from The Sea Robbers have made 39 appearances for the club, registering seven goals to his name and assisting on five occasions. His proposed move to Saudi is subject to him agreeing personal terms and passing his medical test.
